2016 Audi Q5 no start after install?

Question

Installed a Evo all in my 2016 audi q5 programed the key to it have the latest firmware and no start. the module flashes blue when you lock or unlock. i have the can bus low and high connected to the correct wires. also have the brake switch wire connected to the red and black on the brake switch. click the loc 3 times and nothing happens except the blue light flashing.

Also something that’s off is in the installation literature says key sacrifice. And the software says key sacrifice 1. The harness doesn’t have the two loose tires off the red connector to do that also I have no interest in sacrificing a key.

There is no remote start solution without sacrificing one of the keys for the vehicle.

The thar-aud1 harness is that I’m using and all I have it two fobs do I cut apart the tape to expose the wires to wrap around the fob? Also do I take the key fob battery out?

That is another issue. The thar-aud1 is not listed as a supported product on fortin.ca for the vehicle because it is not compatible with a 2016 audi q5. The installation is hardwire only.

 

Yes, the battery would get removed from the fob when performing a key wrap on a vehicle.
