2013 Kia Optima PTS & Evo-One. Can't get car to start.

Firmware 76.17. Wiring all matched up. Cut the yellow loop. Module programmed as per instructions. I enabled D2 and D6. Changed function 11 to mode 4, and function 38 to mode 2.

I've not yet used an Evo-One, so I'm sure its something on my end. This customer wanted to use his oem key fob, so I thought I'd try one out.

Seems like a cool piece, just need to learn the ins/ous of these.

Just wanted to update this. When I had called at some point while working on the car, I had also asked if there were a way to shut the car down (out of curiosity) with the factory remote, and the tech I spoke with said no. It would only do start (3x lock)

Anyway, I tried it and it does shut the car back off the same way. (3x lock)

Remote stays functional while that vehicle (kia optima 2013 PTS) is started. So yes, you would be able to shut down the same way. I can see why a tech may have told you the opposite though.

There are two types of installations for Kia/Hyundai vehicles. Some are started via accessory/ignition/starter, which will have have functional remotes while the vehicle is started. While others are started via activating the brake and the pts button, while would not have functional remotes while started.
