Do I need Remote Starter/Alarm with Fortin EVO-ALL module?

Hi Fortin Support,

I bought the Fortin EVO-ALL and FlashLink Updater for my 2007 Honda Accord. I'm trying to install this to work with my OEM Factory Key. I am confused to whether I need a separate "Remote Started/Alarm" device in addition to what I have now.

the evo-all will not do 3 lock start it is only a bypass and you will need a remote start or alarm start combo for the install.  it will do the locks transponder door status ect. from the evo all but all the main ign. wires have to be hooked up from a remote  starter.

Yes, what Brent said.

The EVO-ALL will get you around the factory immobilizer (so you won't have to lose a key), provide a tachometer output (so you don't have to run a wire under the hood), and disarm the factory Honda alarm when remote starting (so you don't have to run a wire inside the driver's door).  So it saves a lot of time.

You'll still need a traditional remote starter to energize the ignition, accessory, starter, and parking lights in the car.

I wouldn't recommend using the OEM remote because then you'll have to use the key to unlock the door when the remote starter is running.  I usually use a one-button starter that can also unlock the doors when the remote starter is on.
