Sonatas 2014 cranks but wont start without the key in

0 votes
Hyundai Sonata 2014, Key, regular installation, Canadian market with immobilizer, using with OEM remotes.

Installed EVO-One with firmware bypass 76.52 and remote start 1.24.

First off, in the installation manual #21721 you are missing the wire connection for yellow ignition+ wire (yellow A1 wire is marked but no connection is drawn). Please confirm it should be connected, as I actually connected it.

Basically, after installation the starter cranks but won’t start, unless keys are in.

Did couple of programming for bypass, every time on STEP4 where the manual says the blue light should blink 10 times it actually blinks 20 times (maybe that’ll help). Other than that, it seems to program OK. Another thing I noticed, when I run the car with keys there is a yellow light on the EVO One.

Any ideas what should I check?

- This is not a mistake. Ignition is read through can-bus.

-Does the yellow light flash rapdily at the end of programming?

- What is the service number to the unit please.

The service number is 002B07 327279

After programing yelow light did flash rapidly.

Based on what you said regarding the A1 ignition+  i do not need to connect it?
Yes, but if you connected it you can leave it.

What wires did you use from the red plug to open the pats data wire? Also you cut the vehicles data wire correct?
Yes, I cut the wire.  From the red plug I used white green and white red wires. White green connected to light blue and connected to the cut wire going into the harness, white red connected to light blue black and to the cut wire going towards the connector.
Perhaps try rolling the version back in the bypass and re programming the unit and re testing it in the vehicle.
can it be that some of the options either for bypass or starter are set up incorrecly causing this behaviour?
from what I see options look fine.
Downgraded to 76.51.  Still the same problem.

Update: Googled that you can do factory Valet reset. After the reset everything works now. thank you.
