2012 Fusion Hybrid Evo All Thar-For1- Alarms and will not start

0 votes
The Alarm went off the 1st 3 times I started the vehicle with the RS. Standalone OEM Remote Standard key. Vehicle is fine but RS will not even try to start the car. Tried Reflash and toggling A5 to no avail. Are the diodes essential for this install? This unit came prewired/ preprogrammed and had the Alarm/ unlock wires cut and taped into the T harness.  Seems to be a question in other areas if the 2010- 2012 Hybrid is compatible?

On all Fords with a factory alarm, there is nothing to worry about with the alarm as it would disarm itself upon remote start when the unit is properly programmed.

Specific to the Fusion Hybrid, this vehicle is not covered because of problems with the immobilzier bypass. Which would explain why your alarm is going off.

Thank you, Robb. The thing is that this vehicle remote started 3x before starting this issue. As far as I know this vehicle has the same Pats system as the regular Fusion. I did not try the 2 key procedure- Is it different thant the Dcryptor I wonder? I am considering making a second key to try this as a potential fix.

Here's a screenshot of the settings- hope this is visible.

Here is some addtt'l info. This EVO all came preprogrammed with 71.49 Firmware and the guide requires 71.52. After failing to start a few times I noticed the Blue LED no onger flashes when lock/ unlock with the OEM remote. I updated with no change. (Yes, powers and grounds from vehicle are OK). I am new to Fortin and noticed Flashlink connects to the EVO in bypass mode vs. remote start mode. Is this correct? It is set as standalone which appears correct from what I can find.  A5, C1, D1, D4 and 3xLock are all set to 'on'. and  Suggested by Flashlink A5 should be off but this vehicle DOES have OEM alarm... I'm confident there is a way to get this working  which is why I'm including these details. I will check with Tech Support tomorrow and comment if I get any results.

OEM Ford alarms disarm themselves automatically upon remote start as long as the car sees ignition on and the proper immobilizer code. We do not list the Hybrid because of known problems with the immobilizer bypass portion.

There is also the possiblity that your car might have an OEM alarm that is actually aftermarket made by CodeAlarm.  If that is the case, there will be no easy way of disarming that system.
