The 1 A,C is just the transponder connector that you are looking for (A or C). I believe in your vehicle your transponder connector will be C.

you want connections A1, A8, A10, A20 from the 20-pin white connector of the EVO connected. Also, only the RED and BLACK from the 4-Pin black connector should be connected to power and ground.

What model remote starter?

Are you using datalink or hardwired connections?

How do you know the remote starter is working?

Did the EVO program correctly as per instruction?

What is the 12-digit service number written on the back of the EVO?

ITS A AUTO START EVERYTHING WORKS BUT THE THEFT LIGHT

THE SERVICE # 001A06 155833

IT HAS THE HARD WIRE DATA LINK ASWELL
what LEDs turn on, on the EVO when attempting to remote start?

With the EVO disconnected, can you remote start the vehicle with a key in front of the barrel? (not in the barrel)
IM NOT SURE WHAT WIRES TO HOOK UP ON THE EVO EXACTLY.. I INSTALL THEM ALL THE TIME ON FORDS, ITS JUST FOR SOME REASON THIS YEAR AND MODEL I CAN NOT GET TO PROGRAM WITH THE FOR BYPASS TRANCEIVER LIKE I ALWAYS USE.

you want connections A1, A8, A10, A20 from the 20-pin white connector of the EVO connected.

  • A1 - Yellow - Ignition
  • A8 - Dark Blue - (-) Ground-when-Running of the remote starter
  • A10 - Lt. Blue / Black - Rx on vehicle
  • A20 - Lt. Blue - Tx on vehicle

If you do not have 2 original Ford keys, you will not be able to program the EVO with the regular 2 key programming procedure. Factory keys have a Ford logo on it. Also, if keys were ever added to the vehicle in the past, the vehicle may not have anymore room for additional key programming, basically meaning the vehicle is locked and additonal keys cannot be programmed.

The only way around this would be to use the DCrytor type programming which only requires 1 original key.

  • You would also need firmware 4.18 to be flashed in the unit. Currently, you have 4.09

THANKS  THING IS I WORK AT A FORD DEALER I DO SO MANY OEM ONES, THIS ONE SUCKS CASUE ITS MY OWN CAR TOO. HAHAHA   SO I CAN CLEAR THE NUM OF KEYS. THE FORD PATS TRANCIEVERS USUALLY ALWAYS WORK TOO I HOOK UP TO 12V AND GROUND OUT WHEN RUNNING AND IT ACTS AS A THIRD KEY.  I HAVE CONTACTED FOR AND FOR WHAT EVER REASON THE 2004   FOCUS IS VERY PICKY WHEN IT COMES TO THE THEFT SYSTEM.
Ya..

If you use the DCrytor you will not have to clear your keys in the BCM. The DCrytor will basically just clone whatever key it is your are using during programming.
SO I ONLY NEED TO USE THE PLUG AND PLAY PLUG AND THE 20 PIN (A) HARNESS? AND CONNECT 4 WIRES?
If you mean the black 4 pin datalink connector, then yes.
ok will do that thanks
