Cannot lock/unlock doors from RFK441

0 votes
Hi, I installed an Evo All with NIST1 to an Infiniti G35 2007 with PTS and an RFK441 kit. The car will remote start with the RFK441 remote, but I cannot get it to unlock or lock the doors. Any ideas what is going on or what I could check? I can see the lights on the Evo and RF Antenna light up when I press the lock and unlock buttons, and the Parker lights also light up as well. Hello,

You need to wire up or pin door locks on this vehicle for them to work from the rf kit.

On the evo it is the white (a5 lock) and green (a4 unlock) wires from the 20 pin connector.

The guide does not show stand alone wiring for door locks on the evo, however you can use it for pin location at the bcm, reference the info above for which wires to use on the evo-all. https://fortin.ca/download/99971/evo-all_ig_rta_bi_nis1_fx45_2009_pts_a_99971.pdf

Best regards.

Hi Derek, I have connected the pins you suggested to the BCM as per those instructions, it doesn't work. Are the settings on my Evo correct or do they need to be changed? Would it be possible to wire it directly to my drivers side door switch?
I also wanted to show the green BCM 40 pin connector in my car, it seems to have different pin locations and different coloured cables to the one in the guide. Is this normal? Attached (blurry) photo: https://imgur.com/gallery/p38DyAU
Your settings are correct.

Did you remove the locking tab to be able to insert the pins all the way down?

If you manually pulse the lock wires yourself with a computer safe test light are you able to actuate the door locks?
Yes, the pins are seated correctly and in the correct locations on the green 40pin plug at the BCM. What do cables A4 & A5 do when you press the RF remote unlock/lock command? What are they supposed to do in terms of voltage change? I am trying to determine if the EvoAll is faulty. I will test to see if I can manually pulse the lock wires as well.
Those are negative outputs from the unit.

Test manually and let me know if you can actuate the door locks yourself by pulsin the wires with a computer safe test light.
Hi Derek, I just tried to actuate the door lock and unlock through the pins on the BCM and they did not work. They are seated correctly and definitely in the right spot. Any other ideas? Can I connect directly to the door switch on the drivers door? Thanks.

Edit: Can see the ground signal change on test light when pressing RF unlock/lock buttons, so it is definitely sending a signal.
I have also tested on a new Evo All unit, it does the same thing so neither units are faulty.
Good to know the evo is doing its job.

Question for you, is the vehicle a sedan or a coupe? Looks like it might make a difference in the door locking system.
Sedan. 2007 model of this car (V36) was only released as a sedan, coupe version (V35) is not PTS.
In that case the alternate location would be inside the drivers door at the drivers window main switch:

Lock/arm: power window main switch, white 16 pin connector, purple, pin 4

Unlock/disarm: power window main switch, white 16 pin connector, yellow, pin 6
https://imgur.com/a/BPkeS2F Derek, can you confirm these are the correct locations for the 16 pin drivers door window switch? These spots on my switch appear to be empty! I have marked where you suggested they go. Also, can you tell me what the wires you are asking me to tap into are grounds or 12v?
HHmmm yeah those should be the locations.

This means you have to go to the bcm then. Can you please provide a image of the bcm connector and which empty pins you were connected to.

Ground can be anywere on the vehicle as long as it is a clean metal surface that is connected to the body. 12V is grabbed at the brake switch according to the installation guide.
Sure.

The information I have comes back to the same thing you posted. I have no reports in any of our system for the empty pins not working.

I have also cross referenced it with competitors diagrams as well as the manufactureurs diagrams and they all come back to these 2 pins. I am at a loss as I do not know what to suggest if these pins do not work.

OK. The empty pin spots in the BCM, are they strictly for cars with factory OEM alarms? Mine does not have one. I believe I will have to find a way through the window switch on the drivers door. Thanks for your help anyway.
