Hello,

In the bottom left corner i can see it says device found, meaning it sees the updater but no tthe evo.

You probably need to update your flasher since it is so old.

With NO EVO CONNECTED, only the flash link updater connect, click on help>flash link firmware update, then follow the prompts on the screen.

Once done, D/C the flu, close and re open the program and re connect the flu and evo.

Best regards.

I did try updating its firmware. but it shows "An error has occurred with the previous update. Please select a Firmware version to update the ..." "no updates availible at this moment..." then a cancle button.
That indicates that it failed its previou attempt, this can sometimes corrupt the updater which cannot be fixed and requires replacing the updater itself.

What is the S/N number on the back of the lash link updater please.

Also, be sure in the bottom right hand corner of the flash link manager program it says connection mode:bypass when plugging in the evo.

have you tried a 2nd evo to see if it detects anotehr module any differently?

If I click Frimware update, the green and blue LED is flashing, but nothing go further.

It means the updater is working, right?

If I connect the EVO, it show unit connected green, with frimware version 2(should be updater's firmware version).

But nothing I can do next.

Please try connecting another evo-all to it to see if it displays the same issue.

With your description no, the flash link firmware update did not work. Looking at the S/N your module is still at 2.00, current flash links are running 4.05.

If a 2nd evo does the same thing, I believe it may be the updater itself that is the issue.

Best regards.

I have only this currently. and a KEY-OVERIDE-ALL, Does it need flashing before installation?

No, the key over ride all does not need flashing.

Now I get EVO-ALL connected:

It recognize the EVO firmware version. but device(updater) not found

What is the S/N number on the back of the evo-all please.
it is very old mudle, label is missing.
Yes, I assumed so when i saw firmware 4.02 in your picture.

Evo's older than 5 years cannot be updated via the flash link manager.

Your module is not updatable.

Best regards.

I dont need module flashing now. how about the updater? it was working well in old version software. but FLASHLINK version 3.5 redirect to error page so there is no way to choose vehicle.

Unit options are fine.

Are you work in iFar? I dont need my updater updated. I just want the old version software works.

some sold modules come back after some years.  I dont think it is good way that you disable users using old module with old software.
Fortin does not suggest or support using the old version of the flasher.

It has not been supported for some time now.

Please use the current version which can be found here: https://fortin.ca/en/support/flashlinkmanager.html

Best regards.
ok, can the V4 Flash updater flash the old EVO-CAN with firmware/hardware 2.0?
Evo's older than 5 years cannot be updated via the flash link manager.

Your module is not updatable.

I am not really understand "updated", I just want  EVO-CAN(firmware/hardware 2.0) to be programmed to certain vehicle.

Do you mean there is no way to do it? Even though V4 Flash updater + EVO-CAN(firmware/hardware 2.0)?

Correct, the module cannot be flashed.
I understand V4 flasher doesnt support old module. But V2 flasher should work. Actually, it is simple fix your website (redirect error), it should work and flash firmware2 EVOs. User paid for it, should have right to use it without any limitation.
