2012 Nissan Armada Smartkey won't stay running

Recently installed a remote start for a customer in a 2012 Nissan Armada.  Unfortunately the vehicle is 200 miles away and won't be able to be in the shop until this Sunday (when tech support is closed).

I don't have the service number on the EVO-ALL but am 100000% positive that I am using the right firmware and that all connections are proper.

When the vehicle left the shop it was working 100% perfectly, however after a day of use the customer noticed that the vehicle would start for only 3 seconds before shutting off. It was long enough that the remote starter saw the tach signal and assumed the vehicle was still running as it was still counting down the timer on the fob, so I'm ruling out starter issue (for now).  Does anyone have any other ideas/thoughts on what could be causing this?  Would a GWR wire cause this?  Is it possible it lost it's transponder programming?

modules will not lose programming. If the vehicle is actually running a few seconds, it may actually be a tach issue. You can test this by just metering the starter output of the remote starter. It will stay triggered until the car shuts down. I don't believe Nissan allows cranking if transponder is not present, I may be wrong and this is easily tested by trying to remote start with th EVO- disconnected.

Other than that, I am not sure if this changed, but ultrastart does not support tach through datalink. If in datalink, wire up atleast the tach.

The lights on the EVO should be going RED, then RED and Yellow. RED is GwR while Yellow is ignition.

We use the service number to look at firmware and also make sure the options aren't all messed up. In any case, a master reset will set options back to default and also clear any previous vehicle programming.

Interesting... I've always done tach through data with Ultrastart & OneStart (same units).  The remote still indicates that the vehicle is running, so it is not a tach issue or the starter would communicate that fault back to the transmitter.  Also, if it were tach the Ultrastart wouldn't allow it to attempt to remote start again if it "lost" it's tach signal, it's a protection feature built into the starter.
