Engine won't shut down, now red/blue flash at last step

+1 vote
CHRT-5 with T harness installed in 2012 Jeep Wrangler auto as stand alone. After 2 days, engine would not shut down when key removed or 3 push on remote. Reset, flashed and reinstalled, when I get to last step, blue and red led alternate and engine will not shut off with key removed. Can only stop engine if unplug evo. I tried Master reset, I have flash link , updated and flash options again. What do I do next?

Questions.

where is the brown/white (-)parking light output connected?

Did you notice any LEDs on, on the evo when the car wasn't shutting down?

Brown/white is connected to Purple/white at passenger kick panel. I do not remember seeing an LED color showing when it first happened. Now it stops at last step, still won't shut off ignition and just alternate rapid  flashes blue/ red.

The brown/white is a negative trigger output to control parking lights.

The vehicle parking light wire is a positive signal and not negative. You cannot connect both wires together without reversing the polarity first...

Module is most likely damaged at the moment due to this little connection error. Disconnect parking lights completely and redo connections properly by reversing the negative trigger of the evo to a positive signal (relay needed), or do not connect parking lights at all.

Robert, thank you for the reply. I disconnected the evo moduaI, disconnected the brown/white to the parking lights purple/white + , I reset, then Evo all and flashed options again. I did a Master reset then installed all over again without brown/white to parking lights as suggested. After programming data link step, I have Blue LED, I connected the rest of the THAR-CHR5 T-harness, I turned the ignition on, blue LED flashes rapidly, turn the ignition off, the vehicle engine and accessories stay on at this point, with key out. I press program button on EVO, and red and blue led rapid flash alternating. I can only shut down engine at this point by disconnecting harness to Evo and the key ignition is disabled.  What do you suggest for my next diagnostics step?
Pretty sure your EVO took a hit since it's (-) trigger was connected directly to a (+) trigger. That is literally like taking the negative pole of your battery and connecting it to the positive pole.
So how do I know it's not a defective unit? It did work for two days and then malfunctioned. What is the next step to work with Fortin?

Whom did you purchase the unit from?

It worked fine for 2 days until the lights were manually turned on after remote starting, that's when the short would of happened. The evo was outputting a negative signal, the lights were turned on manually (creating a (+) signal on the line), then poof
