Are there any known security vulnerabilities with the Evo-One and the 2012 Nissan Xterra?

I installed an EVO-One in a friend's 2012 Nissan Xterra, and he recently had it broken into twice. He was also able to use his keyfob to get into another Xterra by accident. He thought it was his, and without paying attention, he unlocked it and sat in it before realizing it wasn't. The horn chirp when locking also stopped working. It also does not sound the panic when broken into or triggered.

so the factory keys are able to unlock two different Xterras???  (more of a nissan issue OR the other Xterra doors were already unlocked)

Evo-one will only chirp the horn if:

-- an rf-kit is used; it will not sound the horn if locking and unlocking from an oem remote

-- a connection to the horn is done

-- the option for sound confirmations is enabled and the alarm feature is enabled (14.2)

If the horn does not chirp from the oem remote anymore, the vehicle option for it is most likely off. Procedure to play around with factory horn confirmations is in the vehicles owners manual.
