Programing of the bypass module goes perfect, 3x lock on the remote doesnt work

Evo-All with t harness on 2015 Chevy Cruze, automatic with flip key

Programing the bypass module seems easy enough and works just as decribed in the installation guide (used #63371). But when pressing the Door lock 3x the engine will not start, some checks seem to run but thats it.  Hitting the lock 3x does the following;

Module pulses a blue light with each lock press.  Lock the doors, unlock the doors, dash lights and guages activate then go off, doors then unlock and relock, dash lights and guages come on and go off again and the doors remain locked.  The running lights also come on during this seaquence but dont flash.  On the bypass module the lights during this sequence go; Red and blue flashing, then red flashing, yellow on, then back to red and blue again, then red and then all out.

I have run through all the troubleshooting guides and nothing seems to apply, the dark blue wire is not grounded, and the parking lights wire is not hooked up.  I do have the crimestopper Rf remotes that I plan on using but I have programed those yet as I wanted to get the factory remotes to work first.

(edit) I just hooked my multimeter to the brown/white wire meant for the parking lights and during the start attempt it looks like I'm getting two .6v pulses indicating brake is engaged.  Neither foot brake nor hand brake is engaged it the car so I'm not sure what this means?

Any help would be much appreciated.

2 pulses is brake. The RED shoudl of also been flashing 2 times. If you have a burnt light in the back , either brake or parking light, it will false the brake circuit and the module will detect brack on through CAN.

Do the following because it sounds like your module is trying twice but simply never cranks.

  • Disconnect the EVO completely
  • From the 20-pin connector. Connect the Light Blue wire (currently not used) to the Light Blue Black. Do not cut the light blue/black , simpy tap into it with the light blue wire
  • Flash firmware 4.12. Do not reprogram anything.
  • Try it again.

I was actually in the garage messing with this again when I received this response.

I checked the brake and parking lights and all are working.

I then jumpered the two wires together, did the firmware change and what do you know it worked!

Couple things I'm curious about;

-What did jumpering the wires do?

-I noticed the firmware version 4.12 is a beta version, is this version still being worked on and will neeed to be updated again at a later time?

Thanks
