CLK, DATA and SYNCH connections

0 votes
I started installing my EV-ONE on my 2004 Toyota Camry LE and got almost everything hooked but have hit a wall. My car does not have a transponder key so I am at a loss for where these connections are made. I was able to locate the blue KEYSENSE wire and hook that up but there are no DATA, CLK or SYNCH wires. My other question is, since I don't have to program the bypass module to recognize the key, do I still have to hold down the button while I plug everything in?

Thanks in advance!

To clarify, I need to know which wires I need to hook D1,D3,D4,D6 and A9, A10 and A20 up to. It would help if I knew what "CLK", "DATA" and "SYNCH" stood for as far as the function.

You can skip the whole "D" connector, A9,A10,A20. Also you don't have to hold down the button when you plug the 6 pin connector in.

I plugged all of the connectors in to the module and the 3 leds flash multiple times and then nothing. Is this normal? Also I can't get the red led on the module to come on letting me know the system is armed. I followed the procedure for turning off valet mode.I will go back and check all of my connections again but I'm pretty sure they are solid.

Just to be clear as to what I'm trying to here, I plan on using the OEM remote to start the car. It seems to me that there needs to be some kind of trigger signal sent to the module when the lock button is pressed 3X such as pin A2.

Thanks Mike!
That vehicle is not compatible with 3x lock. You need to purchase long range remotes
I'll be quite honest with you this is not the best system for this car due to the fact you don't need the bypass or any of the can system. I would just go with a regular remote start system.
I figured that out after I posted and have the rf642w on the way. I'm too deep into this to back out. All of the wires have been soldered and got the Flash-Link which I've used to program the module. I would have to drive 125 miles to have a remote start installed so I'll tough it out with this. Can you explain why the red, blue and yellow leds flash 25 times when I plug in the module in the car and nothing happens after that?

Also to get the lock, unlock and trunk to function I will have to wire in the trigger wires for those right? My goal here is not to have to lug around 2 fobs.

If you can stick with me on this, I would greatly appreciate it
Yes you would have to manually wire in each connection to have it work
No worries, any idea on the leds flashing and not being able to move forward and do I need to have the KEYSENSE wire connected since I don't need the bypass or CANBUS feature?
Not sure about the leds and regarding the key sense wire you only need it if you have a factory alarm
Hi Mike!

Are you a customer service rep for Fortin? Just curious because I've seen reps ask for the service number because they can access your module settings. If I can just get it to start the car, I'll be happy. Lock/Unlock,Trunk, Horn and parking lights can come later.

Here is what I got:

Lock  A2 to blue/yellow wire kick panel

Unlock  A3 to dark blue wire kick panel

Trunk  A13 to white/blue wire kick panel

Horn  A7 to green/black wire left knee

Parking lights  A12 to red wire in plug left side steering column

Thanks again Mike!
Will this work as a basic remote starter for this car?
Yes it should
No I'm not a rep for fortin. You will need a spdt relay for the trunk
The LED flash to tell you bypass is not programmed (which is normal) after x seconds, it stop flashing because it completly skip bypass section. You can still use as a remote starter.

Key sense is not required if you do not have bypass.
Thank you for the reply Mathieu! The problem I'm running into is when I plug the module into the car. The leds flash for 25 seconds and then it won't do anything. I can't get into programming mode for it to recognize the RF642W I need to use this unit.

Thanks!
Did you program the remotes to the module?
That's problem, I can't get the module to respond to any input. The LED on the antenna isn't even coming on. I can't enable/disable valet mode which at first I thought was the problem. So until I can figure out how to wake up the module once it's in the car and hooked up, I'm at a standstill.
When you connect antenna, you should have a quick flash of the blue led on the antenna right after you plug it in. Do you have this flash ?

I'm thinking your module have no power or ground.
No flash on the antenna led, the module has power because when I hook up the wiring harnesses, the red blue and yellow leds will flash 25 times. I have double checked all of my connections and they are good. Since I don't need the bypass, when I programmed it with the flash link, I turned all of those options off.
So if the antenna does not give a really quick flash when the connector is inserted it is not receiving power.

You should triple check your connections since this is not normal behavior.
