2018 PTS SONATA - EVO-ONE + EVO START 2 - WHICH IGNITION WIRE?

0 votes
Planning on buying the EVO START 2 to be added to my EVO-ONE on my 2018 PTS SONATA.

Evo Start manual shows a yellow wire that needs to be connected to ignition. My install is a high current with 2 wires market as ignition (E1 and E5 on the high current connector). Which one should I use, if any? Is that only to monitor the state of the start sequence to send info back to mobile app?

Appreciate the support.

Cheers

Any ignition wire. It allows the antenna to do proper status updates

That's what I thought. Thank you very much for your awesome customer service!
Hello Robb,

I am having some issues with status updates. I did update both firmwares on my evo one, tried connecting the yellow wire to both ignition wires, I found feedback works best when the yellow wire is connected to the white ignition (OUT ONLY), but not all the time.

Starting and stopping the engine, as well as locking and unlocking, trunk commands, seem to work almost all the time. Feedback only works 20% of the time.

I swipe down on the car image and it shows "status request" for a long time - but no status updates.

If I close the app and open it again when I sucessfully have received status updates and turned the car on, I miss all the statuses I had before.

I am writing to see if there is anything I can do in order to fix this as I will be away for an extended period of time and would like to know if I was able to start my car or not.

Many thanks!
