Why does my INT-SL+ not turn on the rear defrost in my 2008 Trailblazer?

I installed a INT-SL+ into my trailblazer along with a Ultrastart 1280pro remote start unit connected via data wire.  All works fine except that the INT-SL+ will not turn on my rear defrost automatically when remote started.  The vehicle fitment chart says it will turn on rear defrost when the engine temp is 0C or below...   it's been -10F most of the week but my rear defrost has never automatically turned on?  did I miss something?

You may need to actually press on the Auxillary 1 or 2 of your remote starter once the vehicle is started.

My Ultrastart remote does not have an option for triggering an aux?

You would have to check with the manufacturer of your remote starter. Most units have at least 1 auxilliary output

There is no aux option on my unit.  I believe the rear defrost will only work on Digital HVAC units.
