Remote starter is too quick

+1 vote
Generally i have a habit of staring the car after all the bulb check, throttle check, fuel trim is stablized, however when i do a remote start, the module just kicks off the car befor all that completed. this has happened couple of time with me, while doing a remote start, the moment interior gauge lights come up the starter straight away starts the car, resulting in slugish start, sometimes car kindof dies, with struggling starter and come back to normal. is there any way i can create a delay to remote start the car once all pre-start calibrations are done by the vehicle?

You can turn on diesel mode. There will be a little delay when ignition comes on before it cranks. The major difference though is that the run time will get doubled what you have already set it at.

Oh, i hope this will not trouble the vehicle? i also would want kno where can i hook the green honk wire to the existing horn(-) under the dash, i dont want to run the wire all the way under the hood, i believe there must be same wires going to horns  from under the dash?

what pair of wires on evo 20 pin has led arming status/blinks i dont see this in the installation guide.

Thanks
on similar note, my existing red led on the gauge does not blink while it's arming\disarming so i decided to run a separate wire and add another red dot light.

The horn trigger on that vehicle is most likely a (+) signal. You will need to convert the EVOs (-) into a positive with a relay.

  • Wire in car is Dark Green / Orange
  • I recommend going at the horns for this or you will have to go to the under side of the TIPM also in the engine compartement.
  • You can check for a (-)trigger horn at the steering column connector but i have no information regarding this.

All this does is delay when it will crank.

You can use the (-) Starter-kill/Anti-Grind output (white wire). This ouput wil output a ground signal as soon as the system gets armed. This is not a pulsed ouput so you will need to buy an LED that flashes on it's own.

Thanks, the delay seems to be perfect.

with engine  shut, if i unlock the car and dont open the doors for 30 secs, car honks and locks of its own, this means evo is sending some signal to horn while auto locking but why not while unlocking, since i have enabled that in the options.

This is your options : http://ifar.ca/en/products/001A06239902/

Turn OFF : 14 and 16

Turn ON : 12

this means evo is sending some signal to horn while auto locking but why not while unlocking, since i have enabled that in the options.

Keep in mind that the EVO cannot control the factory horn if it is not wired to the EVO.

When changing options, you do not have to reprogram the module every time.

Thanks, and i never re-program it after changing any options.
