Unable to remote start 2012 Ford Taurus

Hi, I've installed the Evo All unit in my 2012 Ford Taurus (it's an automatic without push-to-start).  I used the T-harness, and I connected the two CAN wires as instructed, as well as the yellow wire, light blue wire, and light blue/black wire to the corresponding wires on the 20 pin harness, as instructed.  The t-harness is connected to the main ignition plug and the immobilizer plug with the factory plugs to each connected to the t-harness as shown in the install guide.  The data portion of the programming seems to work fine, but I can't get the transponders to program.  I've checked all of my connections at least 10 times.  Help!

Try the programming wihtout that red connector connected in the EVO. Also, makes sure you have two master keys since this is the only way to allow the vehicle to enter programming. The Key-On/Off Key-On/Off thing is the factory procedure that allows key programming and requires that 2 master be present. Cloned keys will not work, A locked BCM would also prevent programming.

In any case, if you have the flash link manager, just use the DCryptor programming which only requires 1 key.

Thanks Robert.  I'll give this a shot later this afternoon.  I have both master keys and have been using both for programming.  I don't have a flash link manager, as I bought the EVO from a distributor who supposedly has done all of the necessary updating prior to shipping.  I'll be in touch later this evening and let you know how it goes so others may benefit from this instruction.  Thanks again!

You can also test your Rx Tx just to be sure. I tried to layout a chart above.

I tried programming without the red plug connected but still got the same result. I don't have a voltmeter to test voltages which is part of the reason I bought this unit. It was supposed to be "plug and play". So far, that's certainly not the case.
tires are plug and play, but you still need a some tools to install them. A Multimeter is an installers companion. It helps diagnose problems.

with the service number, we'll be able to also check if the actual options for 3x lock start are enabled.
I guess I'll just return it then. Tires are not in any way plug and play. Plug and play is exactly what it says. Plug it in and it's supposed to work. Using your logic, building a house is plug and play as well. It shouldn't be marketed as plug and play if it's not. I'm not an installer. That's why I bought a "plug and play" system. I'm just going to send it back. Thanks.

Service number checks out good, options are set in the unit. As mathieu said below me, the module is flashed to the wrong vehicle though.

Honestly though, you're working on a car, there's connections being made and when things start not working, you have to start testing connections.

T-harness simplifies the installation, however it won't do it for you. This car has been done by hundreds without problems, so of course there is some testing to do to find the problem in your installation. BTW your module is flashed for a 2008 taurus and you are working on a 2012.
