Light connections on 2018 Mazda CX-5

Question

Has anyone made the light connection on the 2018 Mazda CX-5. I understand that you have to remove the light switch to access the wires. I'm just wondering how involved this was as I'm not looking to cause any unnecessary damage to my wife's new car?

wasnt hard at all. just cut and soldered wires together. i used a cheap soldering iron from walmart. quick tip... run you wire ( on the t-harness) through the clear cover on the light selector switch. once you connect the wires you cannot put the cover back on if you do not do this.

Wish I saw this tip earlier! I ended up breaking the clip and cutting the plastic so I could thread the wire to the hole in the clear cover...

Take a look at it and judge if you want to or not. For some it's an easy task since they do this all day long.
