Reprogram unit to be stand alone remote starter

Question

I installed my unit and the vehicle would not start, not even with the key. I called in and spoke with Robert, he stated that the unit was not programmed as a stand alone remote starter. Is there a way to do this through the app or how can this unit be programmed to be a stand alone remote starter with my oem keys. It did come with the flash link. Or is there a different guide install I should be following. I was going off of guide #34421.

Install the Flashlink manager software, connect the flashlink to your computer, connect the module to the flashlink and enable the option you desire.
