how do i update the hardware wersion in the evo one

Question

in stalling evo one in a 2014 GTI and the install sheet says hardware version 3 but unit has version 2 . How do i update the unit for that? I already did a flash update and it did not change

EVO-ONE is 2 hardwares in one.

-- Hardware 2 is bypass hardware .

-- Remote starter hardware can be 1,3,5,7,.  Your unit is a hardware 7. 

 

Hardware cannot be updated electronically...

 

Discconect your evo-one from the flashlink

Click the toggle button on the bottom right corner of the screen

Plug unit back in. You will be on the remote starter side of things. Notice the hardware is different
