This is for 2010 Mazda 3 sedan, Auto, Keystart.

I never had any issue working on this cars before.

This time, customer brought used compustar remote starter/alarm.

Used Firmware 71.05, followed 12581, guide#4261.

All the alarm function works but transponder.

Programmed until blue blinking and off, Done that, lock/unlock works, door pins works. But when pressed remote start and placed key in front of ignition cylinder, Nothing. Not even cranks.

I checked all the voltage from Compustar and it gives out voltage to crank but nothing, Red and Yellow comes on at the evoall.

I do not think it is the Evoall, it was more like car transdponder problem.

It is flip key that has 4 buttons. Do you think taking remote portion away and use key in front of ignition cylinder and try remote start? Do you think this will be the problem?

Hi Leo,

With the EVO disconnected, and the key in the barrel, the car should start by remote start. If it does not start this way, there is something going on remote starter side. It may be connections or programming of the compustar system. Since it is used, make sure you did a master reset on it. Instruction would be in the isntallation guide for the compu.

The unit was from 2013 mazdaspeed 3 PTS, manual transmission.
And I used a brand new Evoall.

Cut the loop already.

And key close to barrel did not start.
You should be able to start with the key in the barrel or upside down in front of the barrel. If the vehicle is manual transmission, you need to do the reservation mode before attempting to start.
Issue was the ignition connection at the circuit board of Compustar was loose.

I had to solder that connection.

Problem solved, thank you.
