Civic 2016 key start - 3x OEM remote start not working - Evo-One

2016 civic with regular key start.

I am using the T-Harnass. Things to note. I did not hook up parking lights, horn or add the Hoodpin (since a civic person who did this said he didnt and it was fine). I also have not connected that brown wire since its not in the isntructions so I assume its not required. yellow wire was cut because this is an automatic transmission.

I have flashed the EVO one to 73.26 (recommended for my civic). I flashed to this one because the latest firmware could not get the setup right in the car. It would not do the required light flashing order in step 4. So by downgrading to 73.26 it was able to work.

I have set D2 and C1 to ON and I have turned on Fuction 38-2.

Pressing lock 3x doesnt do anything except lock the car and engage the alarm (makes one beep as usual). I am not sure what else to do here. When I click lock the blue light flashes on the Evo-One. Yellow light works as usual when the ignition is on.

oops. Updated!
Did you cut the yellow loop?

Is the led on underneath the yellow loop?

Also do the parking lights flash X amount of times (if you hooked them up) when trying to start?
yes it is cut and yes the red LED is on.
per my comments above. I did not hook up the parking lights. Is there another way to get that feedback without hooking up the lights.
the module is in valet mode.

To exit valet mode do the following:

1- Turn key to on position

2- Press valet switch 3 times.

3- Turn key off.

The red led should go out, at this point try remote starting your vehicle.
Hi, thanks for responding. I just tried this and it did not work. However, I did notice that I was wrong. The red light is not on anymore. The light I can see if just a faint bleed from the yellow light that goes on when the the key is turned.
Is there anything else that could be the problem?
try updating the remote starter firmware to 1.21
Ok I have done this and we are making headway! Now if I click 3 times (slowly) it turns the engine but it doesnt actially start. It just turns for a while then gives up.

So two things:

1. What should I adjsut to get the engine to start?

2. Is there a way of speeding up the 3 clicks. RIght now I click then hear the lock beep then click and hear lock beep then click and hear lock beep again. Is that normal or is there a way of doing 3 faster clicks. Or at least not having the lock beep. This is getting picky so i am fine if nothing can be done. Just curious.
Hi. Following up on my above question.
re program the bypass.

you cannot speed up the rate at which 3x lock is done.

the beep you hear when pressing lock is a factory feature and cannot be controlled by the evo.
Thanks but that was the second question. I still need help with the 1st one in that same reply. The engine just turns for a while then gives up. I can’t get it to start.
Flash the bypass with the recomended version (73.27) then re programming the bypass module including re doing the dcryptor process.
Thank you. It is now working!
glad to hear enjoy the warmth!
Hello. I know this is an old post, but my issues is the same.(not in valet mode) I have a 16 Civic LX. It cranks and will not start after pressing lock 3X. It has a factory alarm. I'm sure this is the issue. It seems like the firmware in question may be the culprit. Which current version is recommended? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
